SNA HOME

So it's the vest and the thermal, plus a change of clothes that includes a pair of jeans, trashed sneakers (you can't wear good shoes to a concert, not unless you want to ruin them with spilled beer, etc.), regular socks and a sweatshirt, just in case it's needed, for warmth, comfort, or to use as a pillow against the car window for the ride back. The vest has to be checked to make sure it has ear plugs in the right front pocket, and the ticket from the previous night has to be removed from the left front pocket so it does not get lost. Then all that stuff gets put in a back pack.

Next up is equipment check and maintenance. The previous show's images and videos on the digital camera have to be uploaded to the home computer, saved, and then I also immediately make a CD of those for safety's sake. You never know. The batteries get thrown away no matter how much charge is left because you always have to start a show with fresh ones. Then the camera is put back in it's case, two or four extra batteries (AA) are put in the case as well, then that goes into a side pocket of the backpack.

Oh, and don't forget the tickets, they have to go somewhere safe, which is usually in a fanny pack or in another pocket of the backpack. Just depends. The fanny pack is then prepared with wallet - which has to contain enough cash for the night - which then prompts a quick trip to the bank, which is only a couple blocks away. Makes for a nice night walk through the neighborhood.
